The OKI proColor Series of printers, from OKI Data Americas, were selected by ViewPlus Technologies for use in the EMFuse Color Braille Station.
The OKI proColor Series of printers includes the pro910 and pro930 cut-sheet printers, the pro510DW digital web press, and the pro900DP and pro905DP digital envelop presses.
According to ViewPlus Technologies, the selection of the OKI proColor printer was based its unique ability to handle the required size range and weight range of media to convey the raised Braille embossing in addition to high-impact color output.
The EmFuse system generates materials that include both Braille and color printing in a single document, allowing sighted individuals, particularly those who teach the visually impaired, the opportunity to read what is embossed.
The EmFuse Color Braille Station, including the OKI proColor printer, handles color printing and Braille embossing with ease, even double-sided printing/embossing on paper up to 12-inches x 18-inches and A3 paper. The system is capable of utilizing Braille paper or standard office media including cardstock, copy paper and labels.
